Time Warp: Science Fiction and Imagining the Future
Taught by Shelby Dale DeWeese
Open to 12 students, ages 11–13
A three-week workshop
August 2–16
Wednesdays, 6–8 p.m.

What will the world be like 100 years from now? Will students be able to swallow a pill that teaches them everything they need to know? Will cars be able to fly? How will people communicate? What will people eat? What will people do for fun? The questions are endless, but we will tackle many of them in this two-week workshop.

We’ll read examples of science fiction writing, reflect on elements of the genre, explore the importance of world building, and brainstorm our own visions and fears for the future - not to mention drafting original science fiction stories!

To enroll in this workshop, fill out the following Google form: https://goo.gl/forms/3CJROQckGOlunL0P2 You will receive an email to confirm your spot in the workshop.
