If you’re looking for a unique opportunity to make your experiences come to life for a reading audience and hone your voice as a writer, you’ve come to the right place. California Sunday Magazine Executive Editor Raha Naddaf will be here to teach us about the world of professional magazine writing, how to write a pitch, and most importantly, how to avoid the trap of the dreaded Generic Personal Essay. By the end of the three sessions, each student will have a finished piece of personal writing to submit for potential publication in California Sunday Magazine’s Teen Issue, which will hit newsstands in December.
