This Privacy Policy applies to 826valencia.org and all of the related online services offered by 826 Valencia (collectively, the “Service”). Please note that this Privacy Policy applies only to information collected from you by 826 Valencia via the Service. Information We Collect Directly From You

Newsletter Sign-Up. When you subscribe to our newsletters you provide your name and email address. We use this information to send you our newsletters and any Service-related messages (i.e. information about changes/updates to features of the Service). You can opt-out from receiving newsletters at any time using the link provided in the email message.

Volunteer Application. When you submit a Volunteer Application, you provide the information that is listed on the application form, including further details about yourself and why you want to volunteer with 826 Valencia. We use this information to provide you with requested information, to ensure the safety of our students, and to find the right place for you in our volunteer program. We use Salesforce to store and track volunteer data.

We ask that volunteers share their latest COVID-19 vaccination dates, when applicable, but no longer require proof of vaccinations or vaccine cards.

Student Application. We store student data pertaining to allergies, medical conditions, and medications for students in our long-term, site-based programs. This information is stored in Salesforce.

Donations and Purchases. If you make a donation through the Service or make a purchase through our online store, you provide your name, email address, shipping and/or billing address, and your payment information. We use this information to process your donation or order, to communicate with you about your donation or order, and to send you Service-related messages (changes/updates to features of the Service). When you make a donation, we also maintain a record of your donation in a donor database. You can always request that we remove your name from that database by contacting us using the contact details at the end of this Privacy Policy.

Partial Purchases. If you start to buy one of our products, but do not complete the purchase, you may have provided partial information, such as your email address. In that case, we may send you an email to remind you about your interest. If you are not comfortable receiving further emails of this kind, you will always have the opportunity to opt-out.

Account Creation. You have the option to sign up for an account through our online store. If you do sign up for account, when you decide to buy products from us in the future, you will not have to provide all of your information again, you will just have to log-in. Before registering your account, we will ask you to expressly provide your consent to this Privacy Policy. We also allow you the possibility to easily withdraw your consent and delete your account via the Service or by contacting us using the contact details at the end of this Privacy Policy.

User Content. If you send us any information or otherwise share any information through the Service you are solely responsible for the content of your messages. When you voluntarily publicly disclose personally identifying information on the Service, that information may be read, collected and used by other users of the Service and may result in unsolicited messages, both commercial and otherwise.

We use the external processor Google Analytics to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service, BigCommerce for our online store, and Classy to process donations submitted through the Service. The information also may be shared with payment processors, financial gateways, and your credit card company to authorize credit card payments or with other necessary third parties for the purpose of carrying out your transactions or to investigate allegations of fraud.

826 Valencia recognizes the privacy interests of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. Photography

Occasionally, we may take photos of our students and volunteers participating in our workshops and programs. We may use these photos to help us promote the work that we do by publishing them on our website, on social media, or in our promotional materials. We seek and confirm consent from students, parents, and guardians before using a photo that identifies them for these purposes.
