What are your favorite memories when you were young? They probably involved your parents because they want you to have the most fun life, and also they are WONDERFUL! I believe that it is important for kids to spend time with their parents for many reasons.
Why is it important that kids spend time with their parents? According to Brigid Schulte of the Washington Post, “It is a time where the parent can show their child things, do fun activities together, and even teach their kids values.” Some of the things parents could do together are going to the park, grocery shopping, seeing movies, and visiting other of your family members. Kids will probably love these activities because they don’t include learning. Kids should also be studying after school so they will get smarter and that is one thing parents should be worried about.
Let me tell you some advice about our learning. Parents can help their kids on their studies by buying them math and reading books, watching learning videos, and playing math games.
Children whose fathers spend time with them doing activities tend to have better academic performance. According to Schulte, “Plenty of studies have shown links between quality parent time—such as reading to a child, sharing meals, talking with them, or otherwise engaging with them one-on-one—and positive outcomes for kids.”
I think that parents should at least pay attention to their kids for five minutes because that way kids could get better at school.
According to Suzanne Pish, “The more time you spend together, the better chance you have of sharing quality experiences. Eating meals together, talking about the events of the day, sharing joys and defeats, doing household chores together, and spending some evenings popping corn and watching movies are examples of shared activities. Some families even schedule one evening every week for special family activities.” Parents could do fun things, for example building a treehouse, cooking, baking, and many other things.
Familyfacts.org says, “Children in families that participate in religious activities together are more likely to report seeing expressions of love and affection between their parents.” What does this mean? Well, this teaches values about how to care for each other. It benefits the parents and the kids for many reasons. When families are together their parents know if their kids are bad or good, because parents know how their kids’ friends can be.
Parents and kids should be spending a lot of time together having fun! Families can play learning games instead of video games. They could cook or bake, go hiking, and explore nature. These reasons should be fun.
