Apply for the 2016 Young Authors’ Workshop

Each summer, we host the Young Authors’ Workshop (YAW), an intensive writing camp for Bay Area students entering grades ten through twelve. The camp features writing workshops and seminars led by guest authors. This is a great opportunity for students to meet other young writers and, with the support of professional authors, editors, and artists, craft amazing work. The camp is open to twenty-five students who are excited to embark on a transformative journey as they develop their literary voices.

The 2016 Young Authors’ Workshop will run from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, July 25 – August 5 and will take place at our new Tenderloin Center, at 180 Golden Gate Avenue (two blocks from Civic Center). Participants must be able to attend all days of the program.

Interested in joining us? Please fill out this application by May 20! You’ll hear back from us no later than June 1st. Preference will be given to students attending SFUSD high schools.

Looking forward to writing together this summer!
