Killing My Lobster performs student-written sketches

826 Valencia and Killing My Lobster have partnered once again to offer an incredible sketch comedy workshop – Finding Your Funny Bone. For four weeks in March, comedians worked with a dozen students aged 8–12 in the 826 Valencia Writing Lab, breaking down the process of how to write successful sketch comedy. Our students had the unique opportunity to learn the basics of comedic writing, turn their ideas into stories and stories into scripts, and see their work performed by professional actors.

Want to see what all the laughter is about? Killing My Lobster will be performing our students’ sketches in three family-friendly shows at PianoFight. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the free student programming here at 826.

We hope you can join us to watch these quirky, surprising, and hysterical sketches. There will be three performances during the weekend of April 24–25:

Friday, April 24 at 8 p.m.
Saturday, April 25 at 2 p.m.
Saturday, April 25 at 6 p.m.
