If you're in eighth grade and want to assemble a strong portfolio for your application to Spoken Arts, we're here to help. 826 Valencia is teaming up with Ruth Asawa SOTA's Spoken Arts track to offer one-on-one feedback on your portfolio in time for this year’s deadline. We'll have tutors here who know the portfolio process inside and out, because they've done it before! To learn more about Ruth Asawa SOTA's Spoken Arts department, check out www.sfsota.org/spokenarts/. During our tutoring hours from 5-7pm, you can get help with your portfolio from SOTA staff or students. Arrive at 5pm, and if you want to stay for a half hour, one hour, or two hours, that's fine -- the help is on hand! What to bring: One or two pieces of writing for your portfolio on which you'd like feedback. You can bring them as hard copies, on a thumb drive, or in an email to yourself.
