The phrase “children are the future” is now a cliche and shrugs the idea that young people are actively contributing now. At 826 Valencia, we celebrate youth voices as a powerful force in the present to impact a liberated future.

In this workshop, students will spend three weeks researching different social movements and injustices. They will write about what they imagine would make the world a better place. At the end, some students will be selected to read at a conference, where they will share what a better future means to them.
